OK, it sounds similar one of these things is happening:
-- you're not using the right upload settings when uploading the video file;
-- you lot're non selecting the Hard disk version of the video to play on YouTube; or,
-- the video file isn't properly encoded prior to upload

For the beginning one, what options does YouTube give you when uploading the video, if any? Also, information technology evidently automatically converts all videos to a sixteen:9 attribute ratio if they aren't already in that format (four:3 vidoes get "pillars" on the left & right sides).

For the 2nd one, empathise that (like Facebook) YouTube by default shows a lower quality video, unless you cull to sentinel a higher quaility version. Even videos that are uploaded at 720p or 1080p resolution, by default, will show upwardly equally either 320p or 480p. Y'all can still watch the higher-resolution video, merely y'all have to manually select that version (if it's available). Click on the gear icon & select the quality that you desire.

For the last ane, endeavour:

Appears to have recommended video/audio & format encoding settings to employ for the video file before uploading it to YouTube.

Even videos that are uploaded at 720p or 1080p resolution, by default, volition show up every bit either 320p or 480p. -- you're not selecting the HD version of the video to play on YouTube; or,

Thanks for the reply, I went to that link, and I accept a question about it.

At one part it says

Video codec: H.264

Progressive browse (no interlacing)
High Profile
two sequent B frames
Closed GOP. GOP of one-half the frame rate.
CABAC
Variable bitrate. No bitrate limit required, though we offer recommended bit rates below for reference
Chroma subsampling: four:ii:0

how would I check if my video has progressive scan, loftier profile, ii consecutive B frames, etc.?

Depends on the source of the file. If it was created by conversion from some other file format (i.east. converting from AVI to WMV), then y'all would want to bank check the settings in the conversion program. If it was created from some other device (i.e. digital camera, digital video recorder, etc.), yous can check the manual for the file specifications it uses, or check on the vendor'southward support folio. If it was created by a screenshot programme (i.e. AMD'southward Raptr), the Help file or transmission should accept the file specifications at that place.

There might likewise be some programs out at that place that can analyze a file & determine what its settings are, merely I don't really do video editing, so it'southward starting to exit of my areas of expertise. However, the iClarify site (which is apparenlty a programme for Macs that can scan a file) said that GSpot tin be used on Windows PCs in place of iClarify.

I had the same problem today with my uploaded videos on Youtube.

They were not in 1080p & I could only sentry them in 720p.

I plant out information technology was a Chrome extension that was bugging the channel called (Magic deportment for YouTube) & how I fixed it was, I deleted the Magic actions for YouTube extension.

Then, I added the extension back to Chrome without changing the Enable Auto Hard disk drive & Strength player type settings.

At present my videos are back at 1080p.

YouTube compresses all of their videos regardless of the resolution. You can ameliorate the quality by rendering it out in 1440p or higher and then uploading it, because all of those videos get a better codec, called VP9, which volition expect amend even on the lower resolution settings. And, 1440p+ also become higher bitrate from YouTube. Y'all tin detect the codec of whatsoever video you lot are watching by correct clicking => Stats for nerds. Commonly it will say something like vp9 or avc1.XXXX.

The made my 1080p recorded motorcycle videos wait much better. I could tape in 4K but information technology uses upwardly besides much memory and bombardment on my Sony FDR X3000 and HDR AS300s. The 1080p video looks great when I render at 1920x1080 15MPS bitrate merely when I upload to youtube it tin can go blurry. From at present on in I will render my 1080p videos at 4k and upload to Youtube.
